Excursion in the bastion passages (casemates)
Access to the casemates in the bastion is only permitted with a guided tour. Advanced registration is necessary. Guided tours languages: Estonian, Russian, English (Finnish at registration in advance and with additional fee 50 EUR).
Guided tour hours:
Saturday 11.00, 14.00 and 17.00
Guided tours in other hours can be ordered in advance for groups (minimum 10 persons).
From May till October the second floor of casemates is opened for visiting. The visitors are welcomed to the programme about bats, living there.
Programme hours:
Saturday and Sunday 12.00.
The programme lasts for about 40 minutes. For the group of at least 6 persons the programme could be ordered in another time.
In winter the second floor is closed because bats hibernate there.
Important to know
Depending on the season the temperature in casemates is from 0 to +15 C. In summer period we recommend to have warm clothes for visiting casemates. Plaids are also available at the Welcome Centre.
It is not recommended to visit casemates for children under 6 years old and disabled people with limited movement abilities, and those suffering from hypotaxia and claustrophobia.
The object is a monument of architecture and is not adjusted for people with physical disabilities. We apologize for any inconvenience.
